Chrysalis has remarked that Equestria has more love than any place she's ever visited.
That's probably not a good sign.
Thief could work too, as a unicorn supremacist out to seize power (and with it, money, women, and the ability to get away with murder) by stealing Celestia and Luna's magic. And while he'd prefer that Twilight join him (quoth the Green Goblin, "There are eight million people in this city. And those teeming masses exist for the sole purpose of lifting the few exceptional people onto their shoulders. You, me? We're exceptional."), if she gets in his way... more magic for him.
Idea: the reason BM!pony is so attracted to Fluttershy is because he's convinced that her shyness is a paper-thin layer of passive-aggression barely concealing a seething ball of spite and fury; in other words, a mare after his own black shriveled thing that might have been a heart at one point in time.
Well, that and her CHOICE ASS.
